tegmaeth is a project run by IMOGEN CRIPPS, a grower, researcher, and artist from mid-Wales.
THE NAME COMES FROM A MERGING OF TWO WELSH WORDS - TEG [T-EH-G], MEANING FAIRNESS OR EQUITY, AND MAETH [M-EYE-TH], MEANING NOURISHMENT OR SUSTENANCE.
the project aims to explore the relationship between food production, culture, materials, landscape, rural communities, and ecology, guided by the meaning of the words from which its name is formed. It currently operates from a walled garden in the Welsh marches.
the various strands of tegmaeth can be found across the website.
